How do I use the SMOKO E-Cigarette?

Using the SMOKO E-Cigarette is really simple.  We designed it to be as realistic and easy to use as we could. 

Simple remove the packaging from one of your Flavour Refills and then screw the Refill to your fully charged E-Cigarette Battery.

Hold on a 45º angle and then draw on the end of the Flavour Refill like you would a normal cigarette.  We suggest drawing a little bit longer - 3 to 4 seconds.  Hold the vapour in your lungs for a few seconds and then exhale.  Simple.  

We recommend that 5 to 7 long and slow puffs will deliver the same amount of nicotine as one regular cigarette.

How do I know when my SMOKO E-Cigarette Battery needs to be recharged?

You should have noticed that when you draw on your SMOKO E-Cigarette, the end of the rechargeable battery will glow BLUE.  When your battery needs to be recharged, the end of the battery will flash BLUE 3 times.  When this happens, you will need to recharge your SMOKO E-Cigarette Battery.

How do I recharge my my SMOKO E-Cigarette/Cigalike Battery?

Once your battery starts to flash BLUE 3 times, it is time to recharge your battery.  Unscrew the Flavour Refill/Cartridge and set aside.  Screw your Battery into the black USB Charger that was provided with your SMOKO E-Cigarette Starter Kit.  Insert the USB Charger into a USB Port on a laptop or a UK Mains adaptor.  A RED light should glow on the USB Charger and the end of your E-Cigarette Battery will glow BLUE.  

It will take up to 2 hours to recharge your E-Cigarette battery.  Once finished, the end of the battery will flash BLUE 3 times and then turn off.  Unscrew the battery from the USB Charger and then attach a new Flavour Refill to the end of the battery.  You will now be ready to vape again!

We do not recommend leaving your battery unattended when it is recharging and do not on charge overnight.

How much cheaper is using an e-cigarette compared to smoking?

Typically, the price of a pack of tailor-made cigarettes in a petrol station in the UK can now set you back up to £10.50 a pack!  So if you are smoking a pack a day, you could be spending upwards of £315 every month.

How do you know when your E-Cigarette refill is finished?

You know your SMOKO E-Cigarette refill is coming to an end when the vapour starts to become less with each puff and the flavour disappears.

My SMOKO E-Cigarette Refill isn’t producing Vapour

If your refill is new but doesn’t produce vapour when you put it onto a new battery there are a few things you can do:

1) Give the connector (the silver half-moons in the bottom of the refill) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection

2) Give the connector in the battery a good clean

3) Try the refill on another battery. If this works it might be a battery issue instead of a refill issue

If these tips don’t work you can give the connectors in the battery and the refill a bit of a wiggle upwards to create a stronger connection (and get your refill working again).

1) With a pen nib (or something small and thin) lever the two connectors slightly up and to the side. You are trying to move the connectors upwards a little to get a better connection between the refills and the battery.

2) The movement should only be small, moving it less than a milometer. Do this a couple of times around the terminals until they are almost to the rim (or even a tiny bit above).

3) Put the refill back onto the battery and take a few big puffs, which should produce the connection needed to get the refills working properly.

4) If this doesn’t work use the same method of wiggling the battery’s connector upwards a little.

This issue starts to happen more and more with older batteries as the connector starts to wear down. If your battery is 3 months or more old than it might be a good idea to get a new battery.

My SMOKO E-Cigarette Refill doesn’t taste right

If your refill doesn’t taste right it could be a couple of things:

  • Is it the right flavour? We regularly send out samples of other flavours with orders, and so this might be a different flavour. You can check by looking at the letters and numbers on the refill as that shows what flavour and strength it is. For example the Original 2.0% is shown as O20.
  • Flavours can change as you use the refill, and if you have left the refill for a while (especially somewhere warm) this can change the flavour.
  • The connection in the refill might not be working correctly, see “My SMOKO E-Cigarette Refill isn’t producing Vapour” for more information on how to fix this
  • How old is the battery? If the battery is old it might not be sending the correct amount of energy to the refill. Try another battery if you have one and see if this effects the flavour.
My SMOKO E-Cigarette Battery doesn't seem to be charging

If your battery isn’t lighting up blue when you put it on charge, or it immediately flashes at you when you use it, it might not be charging properly.

This could be because the battery isn’t connecting to the USB charger properly, and so isn’t getting the electricity. This can be caused by wear and tear (we suggest you swap your batteries every 3 months) or a number of other issues.

To get it working again there are a couple of things you can do:

1) Give the connector in the battery (the silver disk with a hole in the centre) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection. For best results lightly use a cotton bud.

2) Give the connector in the USB charger a good clean as well.

3) Move the USB charger and Battery onto a new USB port. Sometimes USB ports stop working so just moving it can get your battery charging working again.

4) Try the battery on a new refill. Occasionally a refill can cause issues like this, if you use a new refill and the battery works, it might be a refill issue.

If none of that works you can also try and move the connector in the battery into a better position, and hopefully get it charging again.

My SMOKO E-Cigarette USB Charger does seem to be working

If the red light on your USB charger isn’t lighting up when you plug it in, then the USB isn’t registering that it is plugged. The red light on the USB charger is there to show that there is electricity flowing into the USB. If that isn’t on plug the USB charger into another USB port to make sure it isn’t an issue with the port.

If the red light is on, but when you screw the battery or no battery charges when you screw it onto the USB charger, it might not be working correctly. USB Chargers do last a long time, however after a while they will wear down.

To get the connection working again:

1) Give the connector in the USB Charger (the silver disk with a hole in the centre) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection. For best results lightly use a cotton bud.

2) You can also try and move the connector in the battery into a better position, and hopefully get it charging again.

3) With a pen, or any flat and thin point, lever the connector slightly up. You are trying to move the connector upwards a little to get a better connection between the USB Charger and the battery.

4) The movement should only be small, moving it less than a milometer. Do this a couple of times around the silver disk so it is even.

Screw the battery back onto the USB Charger and see if it charges properly.

How do I know when my SMOKO VAPE needs to be recharged?

There is a thin LED light strip that wraps around near the bottom of your VAPE Battery.  When your battery needs to be recharged, the end of the battery will flash RED 3 times.  When this happens, you will need to recharge your SMOKO VAPE Battery.

How do I recharge my SMOKO VAPE Battery?

When you notice the LED light starts flashing, you know it is time to recharge your VAPE Battery.   

It is IMPORTANT to remove the Flavour Pod from your VAPE Battery before you recharge it, otherwise you may damage the VAPE Battery!

Unscrew the Flavour Pod from the VAPE battery and set aside.  Insert the small end of the black USB Charging Cable that was provided in your VAPE Starter Kit into the bottom of the VAPE Battery.  Insert the other end of the USB Charging Cable into a USB Port on a laptop or a SMOKO UK Mains Adaptor.  The LED light strip will glow RED when the battery is charging.  Recharging your VAPE Battery should only take 45 minutes.

Once the VAPE battery is fully charged, the LED light strip will go solid GREEN.  Unplug the USB Charging Cable from the battery, reattach your VAPE Pod and you are ready to vape again!

How do you know when your VAPE refill is finished?

This issue starts to happen more and more with older batteries as the connector starts to wear down. If your battery is 3 months or more old than it might be a good idea to get a new battery.

My SMOKO VAPE Refill doesn’t taste right?

It could also be that the liquid isn’t being vapourised by the coil properly, giving the vapour a strange taste. To fix this you can move the liquid inside the refill to where it is meant to be.

1) Unscrew the refill from the battery if attached

2) Blow into the refill – Take the refill off the battery and blow into the mouthpiece. This can force the liquid inside to move and hopefully get it to where it should be. After that leave the refill upright for a few minutes to settle.

3) Try a New battery – It might be that the battery isn’t sending enough power to the refill to vapourise it right. If a new battery works then have a look at the section “My SMOKO VAPE Battery isn’t Working with the Refills”

My SMOKO VAPE Battery isn’t Charging?

If your VAPE battery isn’t lighting up red when you put it on charge, or it immediately goes green when you use it, it might not be charging properly.

This could be because the battery isn’t connecting to the USB wire properly, and so isn’t getting the electricity. This can be caused by wear and tear (we suggest you swap your batteries every 3 months) or a number of other issues.

1) Give the connector in the battery (the silver disk with a hole in the centre) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection. For best results lightly use a cotton bud.

2) Make sure that the USB port on the bottom of the battery is clean as well.

3) Move the USB wire and Battery onto a new USB port. Sometimes USB port’s stop working so just moving it can get your battery charging working again.

4) Try the battery on a new refill. Occasionally a refill can cause issues like this, if you use a new refill and the battery works, it might be a refill issue If this is the case have a look at the section “My SMOKO VAPE Refill doesn’t taste right”

My SMOKO VAPE Battery isn’t Working with the Refills?

If your VAPE battery seems to be charging fine, but when you a put a refill on it nothing is happening, it could be that the battery isn’t connecting to the refill properly.

This can be caused by wear and tear (we suggest you swap your batteries every 3 months) or a number of other issues.

We do have a few simple solutions for this though!

Inside the battery (in the part you screw the refill into) there is a silver disk with a small hole in the very centre, this is the connector.

There are two things you can do to create a stronger connection and hopefully get your battery working again:

1) Give the connector a good clean to get off any dust, dirt or condensation blocking the connection. You can also clean the bottom of the refills as well which can help.

2) Next thing to try is to move that connector upwards a bit to get a better connection between the refills and the battery.

To do this all that you need to do is with a pen, or a flat thin item lever the connector slightly up. Then put the nib between the connector and the side of the battery and slightly lever it upwards.

The movement should only be small, moving it about a milometer upwards. Do this a couple of times at different points around the connector until it is a millimetre or so higher.

Finally screw the refill back on, take a few big puffs, which should produce the connection needed to get it working.

How do I order E-Cigarette Refills, VAPE Refills or E-Liquids from SMOKO?

There are a number of ways to order your SMOKO E-Cigarette Refills, VAPE Refills or E-Liquids from SMOKO. 

ONLINE - go to www.smoko.com and select which items you would like to order from the menu at the top.  Select the item, quantities and strength and ADD to CART.  Once you have selected everything you would like, click the Shopping Basket icon at the top right hand side of the website.  This will take you to your Basket.  Double check your order, then click CHECKOUT.  Enter in your Shipping and Billing details and the complete your order. 

Once your order has been completed, you will receive an email confirming your order.  We will then process your order and add your shipping tracking information.  You will receive another email saying your order has been fulfilled and will have your tracking information so you can follow the progress of your order.

How do I track my E-Cigarette, VAPE or E-Liquids order from SMOKO?

Once we receive your order, 99% of the time we are able to process and fulfil your order that same business day.  Once we have processed and fulfilled your order, you will receive an email with the tracking details for your selected delivery method.  Simply click on the tracking number in the email and you will be redirected to the courier's website which will provide additional tracking details.

What are my options for shipping my E-Cigarette, VAPE or E-Liquids order from SMOKO?

For UK customers, we have a number of convenient shipping options for you to choose from.

Royal Mail - for smaller and less urgent orders, Royal Mail is a good option.  Usually next business day delivery during normal times, but it can take up to 5 business days.  You can choose from Non-Signed For or Signed For service.

DPD Local - this is our most reliable delivery service.  Usually Next Business Day and sometimes they will deliver on the weekends.  Great tracking capabilities and they send you an email or text notification in the morning when your parcel is due to be delivered giving you a 1 hour window when they expect to deliver your SMOKO.  We would always recommend DPD Local if you are desperate to receive your order.

UK Mail - another great courier that we use.  They provide Next Business Day, pre 10am, pre 12noon and Saturday delivery options as well for an additional fee.  Decent tracking capabilities.  

What are my options for International shipping?

For our non-UK customers, we have a number of convenient shipping options for you to choose from.

DPD Local (European customers only) - this is a road service and can take 3 to 5 business days to arrive.  Great tracking capabilities and very reliable.

FedEx - one of the biggest international couriers with a reliable service to most countries around the world.  Please allow 3 business days when selecting FedEx.

DHL - another big international courier that is quite reliable.  A bit more expensive than FedEx.  Please allow 3 business days for Europe and up to 5 business days for other parts of the world.

Royal Mail International - when your orders are not urgent.  This service can take between 15 to 30 days depending on which part of the world you are ordering from.  We would recommend using either FedEx or DHL if you can.

How to use a Weekly Deal Code?
