USING YOUR SMOKO E-CIGARETTE (CIG-A-LIKE)

The SMOKO E-Cigarette Starter Kit is easy to use and a great way to help you to quit smoking

Using the SMOKO E-Cigarette is simple and intuitive to use for a smoker. We designed it to be as realistic and easy to use as we could. 

Simply remove the sticker from the top and the silicone bottom from one of your Flavour Refills and then screw the Refill onto your fully charged E-Cigarette Battery.

Hold at a 45º angle and then draw on the end of the Flavour Refill like you would a normal cigarette.

We suggest drawing on the E-Cigarette for a little bit longer than you would with a cigarette - around 3 to 4 seconds.  Hold the vapour in your lungs for a few seconds and then exhale.  Simple.  

We recommend that 5 to 7 long and slow puffs will deliver the same amount of nicotine as one regular cigarette.

You should have noticed that when you draw on your SMOKO E-Cigarette, the end of the rechargeable battery will glow BLUE. 

When your battery needs to be recharged, the end of the battery will flash BLUE 3 times.  When this happens, you will need to recharge your SMOKO E-Cigarette Battery.

Once your battery starts to flash BLUE 3 times, it is time to recharge your battery.

Unscrew the Flavour Refill and set it aside to use again later.  Screw your Battery into the black USB Charger that was provided with your SMOKO E-Cigarette Starter Kit. 

Insert the USB Charger into a USB Port on a laptop or a UK Mains adaptor. When the battery is starting to charge the end will flash 3 times and then glow BLUE.  

It will take up to 2 hours to recharge your E-Cigarette battery.  Once finished, the end of the battery will flash BLUE 3 times and then turn off.  Unscrew the battery from the USB Charger and then re-attach the Flavour Refill to the end of the battery.  You are now be ready to vape again!

We do not recommend leaving your battery unattended when it is recharging and do not on charge overnight.

CHARGING_THE_SMOKO_E-CIG

Typically, the price of a pack of tailor-made cigarettes in a petrol station in the UK can now set you back up to £14 a pack!  So if you are smoking a pack a day, you could be spending upwards of £420 every month.

Switching to SMOKO E-Cigarettes should be dramatically more affordable for you.  Each E-Cigarette refill holds the equivalent amount of nicotine as 25 - 30 cigarettes.  The most you will pay for a pack of 5 SMOKO E-Cigarette refills is £9.99 (excluding delivery costs).  This means that a pack a day smoker should expect to spend £2 a day using SMOKO.

You know your SMOKO E-Cigarette refill is coming to an end when the vapour starts to become less with each puff and the flavour disappears.

If your refill is new but doesn’t produce vapour when you put it onto a new battery there are a few things you can do:

1) Give the connector (the silver half-moons in the bottom of the refill) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection

2) Give the connector (silver disk with a hole in the centre) in the battery a good clean

3) Try the refill on another battery. If this works it might be a battery issue instead of a refill issue

 

If these tips don’t work you can give the connectors in the battery and the refill a bit of a wiggle upwards to create a stronger connection (and get your refill working again).

To give the refill's connector a wiggle upwards:

1) With a pen nib or needle (or something else small and thin) lever the two connectors slightly up and to the side. You are trying to move the connectors upwards a little to get a better connection between the refills and the battery.

2) The movement should only be small, moving it less than a milometer. Do this a couple of times around the terminals until they are almost to the rim (or even a tiny bit above).

3) Put the refill back onto the battery and take a few big puffs, which should produce the connection needed to get the refills working properly.

4) If this doesn’t work use the same method of wiggling the battery’s connector upwards a little.

PLEASE BE AWARE - This issue happens more and more with older batteries as the connector starts to wear down. If your battery is 3 months or older than it might be a good idea to get a new battery.

If your refill doesn’t taste right it could be a couple of things:

  • Flavours can change as you use the refill, and if you have left the refill for a while (especially somewhere warm) this can change the flavour
  • The connection in the refill might not be working correctly, see “My SMOKO E-Cigarette Refill isn’t producing Vapour” for more information on how to fix this
  • How old is the battery? If the battery is old it might not be sending the correct amount of energy to the refill. Try another battery if you have one and see if this effects the flavour.
  • A burnt or poor taste is a key indicator that the coil may need to be replaced.

If your battery isn’t lighting up blue when you put it on charge, or it immediately flashes at you when you use it, it might not be charging properly.

This could be because the battery isn’t connecting to the USB charger properly and so isn’t getting the electricity it needs. This can be caused by wear and tear (we suggest you swap your batteries every 3 months) or a number of other issues.

To get it working again there are a couple of things you can do:

1) Give the connector in the battery (the silver disk with a hole in the centre) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection. For best results lightly use a dry cotton bud.

2) Give the connector in the USB charger (the silver disk with a hole in the centre) a good clean as well.

3) Move the USB charger and Battery onto a new USB port. Sometimes USB ports stop working so just moving it can get your battery charging working again.

4) Try the battery on a new refill. Occasionally a refill can cause issues like this, if you use a new refill and the battery works, it might be a refill issue.

If none of that works you can also try and move the connector in the battery into a better position, and hopefully get it charging again.

1) With a pen, or any flat and thin item, lever the connector in the battery slightly up. You are trying to move the connector upwards a little to get a better connection between the USB Charger and the battery.

2) The movement should only be small, moving it less than a milometer. Do this a couple of times around the silver disk so it is even.

3) Screw the battery back onto the USB Charger and see if it charges properly.

4) If this doesn’t work try the same trick of moving the connector on the USB Charger and try again.

If the battery still isn't working then it might be time to get a new battery, which you can get here.

However if the battery is new, or the battery starts working again it might be the USB charger instead, and you can get a new USB charger here

If the red light on your USB charger isn’t lighting up when you plug it in, then the USB isn’t registering that it is plugged. The red light on the USB charger is there to show that there is electricity flowing into the USB. If that isn’t on plug the USB charger into another USB port to make sure it isn’t an issue with the port.

If the red light is on, but when you screw the battery or no battery charges when you screw it onto the USB charger, it might not be working correctly. USB Chargers do last a long time, however after a while they will wear down.

To get the connection working again:

1) Give the connector in the USB Charger (the silver disk with a hole in the centre) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection. For best results lightly use a cotton bud.

2) You can also try and move the connector in the battery into a better position, and hopefully get it charging again.

3) With a pen, or any flat and thin point, lever the connector slightly up. You are trying to move the connector upwards a little to get a better connection between the USB Charger and the battery.

4) The movement should only be small, moving it less than a milometer. Do this a couple of times around the silver disk so it is even.

Screw the battery back onto the USB Charger and see if it charges properly.

If that doesn't work, or the connector looks too worn down then in might be time to get a new USB Charger, which you can get here.

The SMOKO VAPE POD Starter kit is designed to help adult smokers to quit smoking cigarettes

What light is showing when you take a puff on your POD shows how much battery charge you have left.

The 3 colours on the Vape POD and what they mean are:

Green – Fully charged to 90% charged

Yellow – 89% charged to 16% charged

Red – 15% charged and lower

If you see the red light on the LEDs, then it is time to re-charge your Vape POD battery

At the bottom of the VAPE POD battery there are two LED lights which light up when you take a puff on your POD.  

When your battery needs to be recharged, the two LED lights will flash RED 3 times.  When this happens, you will need to recharge your SMOKO Vape POD Battery.

Charging your VAPE Pod Battery is super quick - it can be fully recharged within 45 minutes!

When you notice the 2 LED lights start flashing red, it is time to recharge your Vape POD Battery.

REMEMBER - Remove the Vape POD refill from your Vape POD Battery before you recharge it, otherwise you may damage the POD Battery!

1) Take the Vape Pod refill from the Vape POD battery and set it aside.

2) Insert the small end of the black USB C Charging wire that was provided in your POD Starter Kit into the bottom of the Vape POD Battery.

3) Insert the other end of the USB C Charging wire into a USB Port on a laptop or a SMOKO UK Mains Adaptor.

The 2 LED lights will glow RED when the battery is charging. The LED lights will then go yellow to show it is half charged and then green when it is almost fully charged.  

Recharging your Vape POD Battery should only take 45 minutes.

Once the POD battery is fully charged, the LED lights will go solid GREEN, then the lights will go out.

4) Unplug the USB C Charging Cable from the POD battery, re-attach your Vape POD refill and you are all set to vape again!

You can tell when your SMOKO Vape POD refill is coming to an end when the amount of vapour reduces with each puff and you can’t see the liquid in the Vape POD refill anymore.

When this happens just take the POD refill off the battery and put a new Vape POD refill into the POD battery. If you are starting to run low on Vape POD refills you can always stock up by boxes of Vape PODs Refills here.

If you are finding that it is harder than usual to get vapour from your Vape POD, then something might have blocked the airhole in the POD battery.

On the side of the POD battery (about an inch from the top) there is a small hole. This hole brings in air to be mixed with the vapour made from the POD refill. This mixture is then pulled through the POD refill and you puff on it.

If the hole is blocked or obstructed though it can make taking a draw from your POD more difficult!

To fix this issue:

  1. Clean the inside of the POD battery - Some dust or fluff might have gotten inside your battery, clogging the hole up. Take the POD refill out of the battery and then clean the inside thoroughly, focusing on the side of battery that the hole is.
  2. Clear the hole - Take the POD refill off the battery, then with a pin or something very small and thin clear the hole, making sure there is nothing stopping it or covering it

Once the POD battery and airhole has been cleaned put the POD refill back into the battery and give it a few puffs.

 

If when you try and put a Vape POD into your POD battery, it doesn’t fit then something is blocking the POD battery.

Before anything else, have a look inside the part of the POD battery you put the PODs into and if you can see something make sure to take it out and try again.

If you can’t see anything what might have happened is one of the connectors (the gold disks on the bottom of the PODs) from the Vape PODs could have fallen in/become stuck to the connector. As the connectors in the POD and in the battery are both magnetic they will stick to each other, and make it hard to even tell the connector is in there. 

To get this sorted:

  1. Use a pen or something small and thin to push at both the gold rods in the Vape POD battery. If they move at all that means a connector from a POD has fallen in.
  2. With a pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers get the extra connector out
  3. You can pop that extra connector back into the POD it came from (though do keep an eye out so it doesn’t fall in again!)

If your Vape POD refill is new but isn’t producing any vapour when you put it into a Vape POD battery there are a few things you can do:

1) Make sure the Vape POD battery is charged

2) Give the connectors in the POD battery (the gold rods inside) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection

3) Make sure that nothing is blocking or stopping the connectors in the battery from touching the POD refill

4) Give the connectors on the POD refill (the gold disks on the bottom) a good clean and make sure they are securely in place

5) Try the POD refill on another POD battery. If this works it might be a Vape POD battery issue instead of a Vape POD refill issue

This issue starts to happen more with older POD batteries as the connectors starts to wear down. If your Vape POD battery is 3 months old or more than it might be a good idea to get a new Vape POD battery.

3) The Vape POD battery might be old - If the POD battery is old it might not be sending the correct amount of energy to the Vape POD refill. Try another battery if you have one and see if this effects the flavour.

If your Vape POD battery isn’t lighting up red when you put it on charge, or is showing green but it immediately goes red when you use it, it might not be charging properly.

This might be due to the battery not connecting to the USB C wire properly, and so isn’t getting the electricity. This can be caused by wear and tear (we suggest you swap your Vape POD batteries every 3 months) or a number of other issues.

To get it working again there are a couple of things you can do:

1) Make sure that the USB port on the bottom of the battery is clean, if dust or dirt has fallen into the port, it might stop a proper connection

2) Move the USB C wire and POD Battery onto a new USB port. Sometimes USB port’s stop working so just moving it can get your Vape POD battery charging working again.

3) If possible try a new USB C wire. Some USB C wires (especially phone chargers) won't work with the Vape POD battery as they are designed to transfer information and energy. If however you a USB C wire that is meant to transfer just energy try that on the battery. If it works then this might be USB C wire issue, and it might be a good time to get a new USB C wire.

4) Try the Vape POD battery on a new POD refill. Occasionally a Vape POD refill can be the cause of issues like this, if you use a new Vape POD refill and the POD battery works, you might be able to fix the non-working Vape POD refill with the tips in “My SMOKO Vape POD refill isn’t producing Vapour”

If when you try and put a Vape MAX refill into your MAX battery it doesn’t fit, then something is blocking the MAX battery.

Before anything else, have a look inside the part of the MAX battery you put the MAX refills into, and if you can see something make sure to take it out before replacing the refill.

If there is nothing in the battery and the refill still won't fit, this could be due to the orientation of the atomizer in the MAX refill. Correcting this can be done by using pliers, placing the teeth in the circular gaps on the bottom of the MAX refill, and turning the bottom while holding the plastic casing of the refill. Turn the bottom of the refill until the clips on the side snap into place, and should prevent any further turning. This refill should then fit in the battery!

If your Vape MAX refill is new but isn’t producing any vapour when you put it into a Vape MAX battery there are a few things you can do:

1) Make sure the Vape MAX battery is charged

2) Give the connectors in the MAX battery (the gold discs inside) a good clean to get off any dust or dirt blocking the connection

3) Make sure that nothing is blocking or stopping the connectors in the battery from touching the MAX refill

4) Give the connectors on the MAX refill (the gold disks on the bottom) a good clean and make sure they are securely in place

5) Try the MAX refill on another MAX battery. If this works it might be a Vape MAX battery issue instead of a Vape MAX refill issue

This issue starts to happen more with older MAX batteries as the connectors starts to wear down. If your Vape MAX battery is 3 months old or more then it might be a good idea to get a new Vape MAX battery.

If the magnets in the battery aren't aligned with the connectors on the Vape MAX refill, they won't connect and therefore won't produce vapour. Rotate the Vape MAX refill in the battery until it clicks into place and resists being pulled out.

3) The Vape MAX battery might be old - If the MAX battery is old it might not be sending the correct amount of energy to the Vape MAX refill. Try another battery if you have one and see if this effects the flavour.

To get it working again there are a couple of things you can do:

1) Make sure that the USB port on the bottom of the battery is clean, if dust or dirt has fallen into the port, it might stop a proper connection

2) Move the USB C wire and MAX Battery onto a new USB port. Sometimes USB ports stop working so just moving it could get your Vape MAX battery charging working again.

3) If possible, try a new USB C wire. Some USB C wires (especially phone chargers) won't work well with the Vape MAX battery as they are designed to transfer information as well as energy. If however you a USB C wire that is meant to transfer just energy, try that on the battery. If it works then this might be a USB C wire issue, and it might be a good time to get a new USB C wire.

4) Try the Vape MAX battery on a new MAX refill. Occasionally a Vape MAX refill can be the cause of issues like this, if you use a new Vape MAX refill and the MAX battery works, it might be an issue with the refill itself.

We try and process orders as quickly as we can, and so if you order before 2pm between Monday to Friday we will make sure your order is dispatched that day.

Once we have processed and fulfilled your order, you will receive an email with the tracking details for your selected delivery method.  Simply click on the tracking number in the email and you will be redirected to the courier's website which will provide additional tracking details.

Some shipping services have more tracking than others though! If you used Royal Mail 1st Class for your delivery then the tracking will be extremely limited.

Royal Mail only shows information about a package on their website when they have at least attempted to deliver the package, before that you will get an error message.

For UK customers, we have a number of convenient shipping options for you to choose from.

Royal Mail - for smaller and less urgent orders, Royal Mail is a good option. Normally they are pretty good, but a Royal Mail delivery can take up to 10 business days. There is also no tracking on a Royal Mail package until Royal Mail at least attempts to deliver the package.

DHL Parcel - For smaller packages that you want quickly with good tracking ability. We recommend this option for those who want their package quickly and the ability to track it. They are only a next working day courier though so they won't deliver on the weekend! 

You can get discounted DHL Parcel shipping when you spend £30 or more and free shipping when you spend £65 or more

ParcelForce - Like DHL Parcel this service is good for smaller packages that you want quickly. Though the tracking isn't as good as the other couriers the main strength that they will leave your package at the local Post Office if you want for easy collection.

DPD Local - this is our most reliable delivery service.  Usually Next Business Day and sometimes they will deliver on the weekends.  Great tracking capabilities and they send you an email or text notification in the morning when your parcel is due to be delivered giving you a 1 hour window when they expect to deliver your SMOKO. 

The only downside is that they are quite expensive, but the price does get discounted at £65 and  shipping becomes free when you spend £90 or more!

Some of these benefits include tackling depression and anxiety, reducing inflammation which helps to tackle pain and improve athletic recovery, help to control blood sugar levels in diabetes, potentially improve sleep quality that can have a dramatic impact on quality of life, help treat neurological conditions like epilepsy, and protect against arthritis - to name just a few! Unlike passive smoking, CBD products do not pose a risk to bystanders.

Cannabidiol CBD (otherwise known as CBD) is a chemical taken from the cannabis plant. For thousands of years cannabis has been used to help people, and CBD is one of the main ingredients in the cannabis plant which does this. It is known as a 'cannabinoid' because it comes from the cannabis plant, but most CBD products are extracted from hemp plants, which are cannabis plants with less than 0.3% THC.

Despite the name though, good CBD products are more than 1 ingredient.

There are hundreds of other helpful chemicals in cannabis that can also be included in CBD oil, such as terpenes, fatty acids and amino acids. While CBD Isolate products are available and contain just CBD, products containing these other helpful chemicals alongside CBD are known as 'Broad Spectrum' CBD. This is because they all work together to create an 'entourage effect', improving the effectiveness of each other.

The 1 chemical that isn’t in our CBD oil though is THC!

The chemical THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the reason that cannabis is a psychoactive drug (and why cannabis is illegal). We take out all the THC from the CBD, which means that SMOKO CBD Gummy Bears, CBD Oral Drops and CBD Soft Gels will not get you “high”.

No, our CBD will not get you "high" or affect your mind!

Though CBD is found in the cannabis plant, our CBD products use CBD extracted from hemp plants (which are cannabis plants with less than 0.3% THC) using a cryogenic extraction process to separate the CBD from the psychoactive THC.

The chemical THC is the reason that cannabis is a psychoactive drug (and why cannabis is a controlled substance), so we take the THC out of the CBD that makes our CBD vape juice, CBD tinctures and CBD Soft Gels safe to use.

There is some evidence that CBD may help to improve concentration and focus, as well as reduce the impact of addictive behaviour and conditions like anxiety, so there is a potential for CBD to help calm the mind without any psychotropic (high) effect.

The FDA approves CBD oil for use in dietary supplements in February 2021, but it was legal in some states of the USA as early as 2014.

The UK's FSA also approves of CBD, currently classifying it as a "Novel Food" and allow people to use it. Novel food is the category they give to items that can be consumed which seem safe, but can't be called medicine yet (like vitamins).

The research conducted on CBD (outside of Cannabis) seems very positive, with many health benefits being found in small studies.

Health authorities set something called the 'Acceptable Daily Intake' or ADI to help guide people with dosing for drugs, and the UK originally had the ADI set at 1mg of CBD per kilo of bodyweight per day. This has recently changed, with a new 'provisional' ADI of 0.15mg per kilo of bodyweight per day. This change was due to the lack of long term studies on CBD accumulation in the liver, and concerns over drug interactions and use in pregnancy. 

We recommend starting on a low dose like a single drop of our 500mg strength CBD Oral Drops and increasing as necessary to tailor to your specific needs. You can read more on CBD dosing here.
