CAN YOU TRAVEL WITH AN E-CIGARETTE?
You can travel with an E-Cigarette, however your ability to use it on your journey may be limited at times, and your destination may well have restrictions, too. Airlines have strict policies with regard to how to pack your E-Cigarettes, use at airports and in-flight, with the rules often reflecting the rules for smoking. Be sure to check the regulations in your country of destination to avoid potentially serious consequences.

If you are planning on going on a nice sunny holiday this year, then you will need to be aware that there are lots of countries that have banned the use of personal vaping devices and taking travelling with vape/e cigarette on flights may cause you some destress.

PACKING YOUR E-CIGARETTE BATTERIES
When you go abroad on holiday, you must make sure that your e-cigarette batteries (vape batteries) are carried in your hand-held luggage.
All airlines require you to only carry two lithium-ion batteries - this is a very widely known airport standard.
CAN I TAKE MY VAPE REFILLS ON THE FLIGHT?
On some airlines, you are allowed to pack small 10ml bottles of vape juice, or e-cigs in your hand luggage. However, SMOKO would like to recommend that you pack your e-liquids in checked-in luggage and a NOT a carry-on. You can’t vape on a plane, so what is the point, it is better to be safe than sorry.
If you do decide to take your e-liquids / refills on the flight, treat these as you would any other liquid and put them in a clear plastic bag when walking through security and check with your airline on how many bottles of liquid you can take on board.
AIRPORT POLICIES ON VAPING
Airport policies on vaping change depending on which airport you are flying from in the world and these restrictions seem to be getting worse.
If vaping is legal in the country, and the airport contains a designated smoking area then you should be good to vape there. But, any doubt, just ask!
AIRLINE E-CIGARETTE POLICIES
Unfortunately, you are not allowed to take your e-cigarette on flights (as one whole device) and most airlines now incorporate the use of e-cigarettes into their pre-flight notices about smoking being band onboard.
VAPING LAWS FOR INTERNATIONAL COUNTRIES
You will need to make sure that you check if you are allowed to take your e-cigarettes into the country that you are travelling to (vape in hand luggage), because you could end up with a huge fine or even worse prison.

In the UK, vaping is not banned, but the use of an e-cigarette device is definitely frowned upon in most public areas, including on public transport. You just have to be careful about where you decide to pull out your e-cigarette, as there are different rules depending on who owns the property. It is always best to ask for guidance before getting out your device!
