- SMOKO E-Cigarettes
Marc Brown from the North West is the latest reviewer for SMOKO’s new flavours. He posted on the UK Vapers forum with his analysis of each of our flavours and had this to say:
“It’s a simple device and I’ve had no issues with it apart from the short battery life expected of a device this size. The cartos come in packs of five and retail at £14.00 and they usually have one flavour on offer at £7.00 per pack and... reward points to lower the price if you are a regular customer. All I will say is it’s not the cheapest but it’s cheaper than cigarettes and a lot cheaper than others I’ve seen.
ON UK MANUFACTURING:
“The flavours are made in the UK, although the cartos are manufactured in China, so they’re filled over here. [I’m] quite impressed that an e-cig company is using UK-produced flavours in their cartos. I think they’ve chosen some good flavours and there are more on the site - ismoko.com.
ON THE NEW FLAVOURS:
“I received five flavours at 16mg.
ROAST CHICKEN - “... what can you say? It tastes somewhere between chicken gravy granules and Walkers chicken flavour crisps. Is it nice? No, it’s proper gross - not for me at all. I think if anything this is a bit of fun. I can’t see how anyone would want to vape a savoury flavour but then someone might... It does what it says on the tin with flavour and the throat hit is adequate. If you drink, then this might go well with a beer. Suffice to say I couldn’t vape a full carto of this - a few puffs was all I could manage!”
CHOCKY-WOCKY - “Now this is quite nice. Chocolate is hard to get right in a vape and this does a half-decent job. It’s almost like a milkshake and quite sweet. Not bad at all - a more than respectable chocolate flavour.”
BANANARAMA - “Out of the five, this was my favourite. It’s a decent banana flavour half way between a sweet and the real thing. I could happily vape this all day. It’s not overly strong or chemically, like some banana e-juices can be. It’s very nice indeed.”
ABSINTHE - “It’s absinthe so it has a strong aniseed taste. It could easily called aniseed, as to me that’s what it is. I’m not a huge fan of these kinds of vapes but this is a decent flavour and not too strong. If you like aniseed, cough mixture type vapes you would enjoy this.”
HAVANA - “This is supposed to be Havana cigar flavour. It’s quite sweet and tastes rather herbal. It’s not unpleasant but a bit bland for my tastes. If you were making the switch from cigarettes then it could be a good flavour to start with as it’s quite unimposing.”
I’m passing on the kit and cartos to a family friend who couldn’t get on with eGo and hopefully it will help her make the switch.
